Now, we shall see how to create permalinks in various categories or tags.
In the WordPress dashboard, go to ‘Posts’ >> ‘Categories’. You shall see a list of categories in your site. Once you click on one of it, you will see an ‘Edit’ button.
On clicking on it, you will go to the ‘Edit Category’ page where you can edit the permalink in the “Slug” option.
Similarly, for editing the tag’s permalink go to ‘Posts’ >> ‘Tags’. Click on the ‘Edit’ button of the tag you wish to edit.

In none of the above mentioned methods, we are allowed to completely edit the permalink.

Now, when you click on the post and its title you will see a permalink option at the end of the page. You can type your permalink in the provided text box.
Again, while editing the permalink of categories or tags you shall see a custom permalink option at the end.
In your dashboard you will see a ‘Custom Permalink’ option. Here you can see a list of permalinks used in your site. You are allowed to delete any of the permalink used.
